The Accedian Networks Vision EMS™ is a highly scalable, fully automated FCAPS capable management platform built on top of Nakina Systems technology.

Accedian Networks was quickly able to deploy a fully functional management system by simply building a Nakina Adapter in a few weeks. Then Accedian built their own application called Plug & Go™, which fully automates the standard operating procedures for Accedian network interface device deployment:

• auto-configures management interface and media;
• adds newly installed units to inventory;
• applies operator-defined security policies;
• provisions services and monitoring features based on service topology and customer group;
• adds units to existing backup and audit schedules.
  

The Plug & Go ™ application is a significant differentiator for Accedian Networks and is built as an addition to the Nakina platform, which leverages the Nakina base platform, providing application core services such as base communications, transaction control, security, physical and logical inventory, topology fault and performance information.

Off the shelf scalability and reliability allows Accedian Networks to support their largest customers and for the Ethernet NID market, deployments of well over 10,000 elements for a single customer are expected
