Nakina's Design Philosophy is built around offering customers and partners agility and cost-effectiveness in making the decision to run with Nakina.
Compliance to standards include:
- TeleManagement Forum™ (TMF) standards group membership and
adherence to the Shared Information Data (SID) model to facilitate best-in-class
third party software integration;
- OSS Through Java™ membership and participation as a leading
member of the Network Discovery API group responsible for developing standard Java-based
interfaces for OSS services and applications;
- Network Element system interface support, including TL1, CLI,
TMF-814, SNMP, and Next Generation interfaces;
- Network Element system protocol support, including OSI, TCP/IP,
FTP, and FTAM;
- Support for interfaces to third party software via XML, RMI, and JMS.
In the area of Security:
- Nakina’s Security Management solution achieves ANSI / ATIS recommendation T1.276-2003 and ITU-T M.3016 / X.805 compliance, the only known telecom and data network-specific solution capable of providing this telecom specific standard for access security on carrier networks
- Although Management Plane Security is not specifically referenced in the SAS 70 requirements of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, a pertinent subset of the ANSI/ATIS T1.276-2003 requirements overlap with those of ISO17799. ISO17799 2005 is generally applicable to IT security and is commonly applied in determining the SAS 70 compliance of an organization.
